Secondary English Teacher

Description and Requirement

As an English Teacher at Rise, your teaching assignment will be matched to your skills and experience. You may be involved in:

• English Language instruction for secondary students (Years 7–11, Edexcel Pearson syllabus)

• GED Reading and Writing (RLA) preparation

• After-school English classes focusing on skills development, exam prep, or language enrichment for internal and external students

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (IGCSE, GED, or international school experience is an asset)

• English proficiency at CEFR level C1 or equivalent 

• Familiarity with the Edexcel Pearson syllabus and/or GED curriculum preferred

• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills

• Ability to deliver feedback constructively and manage differentiated learning needs

• Passion for literacy, student growth, and inclusive education
