Description and Requirement
S.D.E.C - International School in Yangon is looking for assistant teachers to join our growing team. The successful candidates will have a passion for helping students learn, grow and develop.
Duties and responsibilities
Teaching:
- - Supervise and provide learning support for students with or without special needs.
- - Assist with the development of individual education and behavioral plans setting challenging expectations for students to achieve learning goals.
- - Encourage students to interact with the class and engage in activities.
- - Provide feedback to students and teachers on students’ achievements, progress, and any problems that arise.
- - Create and maintain an orderly and supportive environment, undertaking administrative tasks as needed.
- - Promote good student conduct encouraging students to take responsibility for their behavior.
- - Prepare resources required for learning activities and assist students in their use.
- - Uphold policies and procedures relating to child protection and data protection.
- - Supervise students before school, after school, and on school trips.
General Duties:
- Endeavor to give every child the opportunity to reach their potential and meet high expectations.
- Participate in regular in-service training as part of continuing professional development (CPD).
- Take part in marketing and liaison activities such as Open houses, Parents' Evenings, and other events with partner institutions.
- Take responsibility and show accountability for any other duties as assigned by the school.
- It is understood that areas of responsibility are from time to time subject to review and are negotiable in the light of the needs of the school and the professional development of the staff.
- In addition, it may be amended at any time after consultation with you.
Requirements
- Must have a degree for relevant field.
- Trainings will be provided
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly.
