The Duty Manager’s role is to accommodate and satisfy the requirements of the hotel’s guests.
To co-ordinate the resources available to ensure the hotels capacities and its standards of service are maintained at a high level as to establish Hotel Sedona Yangon as the most preferred and visible 5 stars hotel.
Inspect all rooms reserved for VIPS prior to their arrival
Greet VIPs upon arrival , escort them to their rooms and extend explanation on room facilities as well as the Hotel’s services and Facilities
Handle all guest complaints tactfully and in person and follow up ensuring every complaint is taken care of.
To accurately represent the hotel’s policy and procedures at all times
Determine daily room requirements , allotment , assignment of rooms to ensure special requests are met
Up-selling all hotel facilities
Conduct daily briefing
Conduct the department introduction training, system & P&Ps to new joining colleagues
Keep a close vigil of all lobby areas to maintain a clean and well organize Hotel.
Record all unusual incidents or complaints in the logbook for information and reference of the management
Advise management of a most ‘ serious ‘ complaint or problem immediately
Assist Security Department to investigate safety and security of the Hotel and guest property, guests, and staff.
Perform night round with security to ensure of non undesirable characters loitering within the hotel premises.
Major involve in case of fire alarm or emergency situation in order to control and direct both staff and guests.
Job Requirements
Minimum 3 years as Supervisory and above
A high level of competence in using MS Office (Word and Excel)
Knowledge of Opera System is required
Hospitality Certificate is preferable
Bachelor Degree
Must possess a professional presentation
Highly responsible & reliable
Adaptable and has the right attitude and work well with team respectfully
Good knowledge of Health and Safety and security procedures
Calm, efficient and the ability to work well under pressure
