Chief Accountant

Description and Requirement

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing daily receipts, payments, and physical cash counts while ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
• Analyze cash in hand and bank balances, contributing to efficient asset flow management.
• Supervise accounting entries for stores, production, distribution, and branch transfers, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Conduct monthly checks on stock reports, providing insights into inventory management.
• Scrutinize data entries from production and branch transactions, maintaining data integrity.
• Prepare manufacturing process reports (MO summaries) and report production norms and variances to management.
• Ensure pricing aligns with costing and oversee revenue data entries and promotional activities.
• Utilize accounting software applications to format data for reporting purposes and review entries for accuracy.
• Highlight anomalies in fund disbursements and collaborate with cross-functional teams for resolution.
• Review staff salary payments, provide approval, and manage day-to-day financial matters.
• Collaborate with Finance Head on financial matters and liaise with external auditors for annual audit reports.
• Take charge of tax and legal matters in accounting, including audits, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Enhance financial systems, internal controls, and policies by participating in procedure and policy development.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA qualification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or in a senior finance role within the manufacturing industry.
