Art & Design Teaching Assistant

Description and Requirement

• Support and assist the Art & Design teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and schemes of work.
• Maintain a safe and inspiring learning environment that encourages creativity and expression.
• Promote and be committed to the school’s goals and objectives and contribute to the effective and efficient running of the school.
• Assist in preparing and setting up exhibitions, displays, and showcases of student artwork.
• Assists in creating stage backdrops, school decorations, and visual displays for events, enhancing the school’s creative atmosphere.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities and a willingness to be involved in the wider life of the school.
• A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
• Good level of IT skills.
• A clean background or police check and no question regarding suitability to work with children.
