The role covers the following areas:
Accounting, controlling, reporting and compliance: The Head of Finance Myanmar is responsible for:
Accounting Processes: Overseeing the accounting processes including cash flow management of all Ringier Myanmar companies. The local / regional finance team members report to the Head of Finance Myanmar.
Financial Reporting: Ensuring that each company is correctly recording its financial transactions in the bookkeeping system and reporting them in a timely manner and that all reporting to group is in line with the Ringier AG group accounting policies and that the reports can be relied upon. Local and statutory reporting should be compliant with requirements in the relevant jurisdiction.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Budgeting and forecasting for Ringier AG’s subsidiaries and investments in Myanmar. This includes ensuring that the budgets and forecasts are completed and submitted to headquarters on time in the format prescribed by group and has been reviewed and challenged locally.
Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Compliance with local filing, tax and reporting requirements including the correct calculation of payroll and associated social security, withholding and labour union fees, commercial tax, value added and income tax and any other tax matters relevant to any of Ringier’s entities in Myanmar.
Financial Audits: Manage the audit process for statutory and group purposes. Ensure entities are suitably prepared for the audit, liaise with auditors and make sure that timelines are met.
Business Partnering: Provide financial insights and analysis to support the Managing Director Myanmar, other executives in Myanmar/Asia or headquarters in their decision making.
Management & coaching:
The Head of Finance Myanmar manages the finance teams of the individual subsidiaries and provides coaching and training to the employees of the individual finance departments where necessary.
Finance
Manage all local accounting, consolidation, financial controls, treasury, tax and corporate governance issues of Ringier Myanmar entities.
Review monthly finance reports.
Manage the annual audit and review annual audit reports and ensure audit adjustments booked.
Manage local tax filings, engage external advisors in agreement with headquarters where necessary and use best efforts to ensure that Ringier Myanmar is compliant on all tax matters.
Coordinate and review budget/forecast and mid-term planning prepared locally.
Provide input and where necessary improve internal control and procedures and the integrity of financial data through the introduction of financial management techniques and review of future system requirements.
Evaluate recommendations, and implement policies, procedures, systems, organizational structures, and personnel assignments related to all company accounting and finance.
Support the FD Digital and Marketplaces International on special projects.
Training & Coaching
Develop and lead the local Finance Managers in the successful pursuit of the objectives above.
Provide guidance on accounting and reporting topics.- Excellent communication and Problem solving skills
