Job Summary 

The incumbent will build and operationalize the Myint & Associates Offshore Supply Base Ltd. (M&AOSB) Environmental Management System in compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and commitments. The incumbent will serve as the in-country focal point for all relevant planning and operational support. The incumbent will take a collaborative approach and work closely with the social team and project management teams to implement ESMP as a whole package.

Job Description
•    Manage the ESIA development, compilation and submission processes and any subsequent public consultations in accordance with the Myanmar EIA Procedures
•    Develop and lead the implementation of ESMP in accordance with the Myanmar EIA Procedures
•    Map out an action plan to implement the ESMP and ensure compliance with all legislations as well as company commitments
•    Lead the development of M&AOSB environmental management systems, policies, and procedures in support of construction and operational activities
•    Negotiate with the potential contractors during the tendering process to ensure materializing of company commitments during construction
•    Monitor by contractors, suppliers, sub-contractors, consultants and other applicable stakeholders for compliance with ESMPs during construction and operation of M&AOSB
•    Lead the preparation of Environmental Monitoring Reports and other reporting requirements
•    Liaise with government departments, partners, and Corporate Affairs team in relation to social performance
•    Coordinate with project management team in relation to environmental management processes
•    Manage the environmental permitting process and ensure that the necessary permits are obtained in support of operations schedule.
•    Develop and oversee the environmental/social audit plan
•    Provide internal trainings where required
•    Advise leading industry best available techniques and practices are adopted with regard to environmental management, ongoing operations, EMPs, waste management, monitoring, rehabilitation, etc.

Job Requirements:
•    Preferably a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Sciences, Marine Biology or a related field
•    Extensive experience in similar role within oil & gas or related industries
•    Experience in development projects is preferred
•    Engagement and influencing government, community, civil society actors
•    Proven track record of delivering high quality ESIAs and ESMPs
•    Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
•    Familiarity with waste management practices/disposals
•    Familiarity with environmental legislation
•    Familiarity with monitoring systems
•    International experience is preferred
•    Oil & gas experience is preferred
