Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research skills to discover profitable suppliers; work with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Initiate business and cultivate partnerships.
  • Oversee supply needs; approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.
  • Manage workflow from initiation to completion (of both purchased orders and deliveries)
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clear communication of the specifications and expectations of the company.
  • Foresee trends and predict alterations in the negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
  • Evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors.
  • Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers.
  • Evaluate and enhance our operations in local spend while researching and prospecting developments in global spend.
  • Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the senior management team of any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency.
  • Monitoring and updating purchase orders as well as tracking of the costs and delivery dates to compare them with the agreements

Qualifications & Soft Skills:

  • B.S. degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or similar.
  • 5yrs of working Experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, able to speak Chinese language would be added advantage.
  • Exposure to both Myanmar and International procurement projects.
  • Successful work experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer, or another relevant role.
  • Strong working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an aptitude for reading the market.
  • Exceptional talent in negotiating and networking.
  • Strong business-acumen.
  • Solid knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
  • Outstanding decision-making skills and ability to work well with numbers.
  • Significant experience in collecting and analysing data.
  • Excellent, mature leadership capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
