Solidarités International is an international humanitarian organization which provides aid and assistance to victims of war or natural disaster. For almost 35 years the association has focused on meeting three vital needs - water, food and shelter - by carrying out emergency programmes followed by longer-term reconstruction projects.

Solidarités International Myanmar has been working in Myanmar since 2008 with the agreement of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.

SI’s current programs in Myanmar include:

Provision of life-saving and humanitarian assistance to families affected by violence in Rakhine State. This program is currently implemented in IDP camps, host and surroundings communities in Sittwe and Pauktaw Townships.

Emergency response to conflict-affected populations in Kachin State through an improved access to water, sanitation and hygiene as well as food security and livelihood activities.

Contract duration: 12 months (with high possibility of extension)                

Probation period: 3 months

Job range: 1,230,260 Myanmar Kyats + Social benefits (medical coverage, 12 days of Annual leaves, Public Holidays per year, yearly-ended bonus, etc.)

  • The Logistics manager will implement and supervise all logistics operations at his/her assigned base. 
  • He/she will organize logistic support for programs, in keeping with Solidarités International procedures.
  • He/she will assist the base manager or the field coordinator in the implementation of safety rules

List of main tasks

Supply Management

  • Manage the Solidarités International purchasing procedures and those from donors funding the programs
  • Establish and update purchasing timelines, taking into consideration procurement tables, operation timelines and contextual and procedural logistical constraints
  • Ensure that budgetary lines related to logistics are monitored and observed
  • Participate in the drafting the call for tenders
  • Select storage locations and create a plan for the development and security of these sites
  • See that all documentation linked to stock is complete and correct 
  • Organize the installation, safe-guarding and monitoring of materials

Vehicle Fleet Management

  • Supervise the planning and execution of maintenance and repair work on mission vehicles
  • Ensure that drivers are aware of their obligation to adhere to Solidarités International safety rules and procedures
  • Ensure that fuel consumption and vehicle mileage are monitored, consolidated, analyzed and recorded

Monitoring of IT Equipment/ Premises Management

  • Update antivirus software
  • Ensure the maintenance and correct use of IT equipment
  • Ensure premises are secured, maintenance and rehabilitation done
  • Ensure that life and work conditions established by the logistics coordinator are implemented

Finance/ HR Management

  • Analyze and follow logistics budget lines for all donor project ongoing on its assigned base
  • Analyze and quantify logistics personnel needs
  • Conduct performance reviews for members of the logistics team


  • Implement team safety measures as determined by the coordination team 
  • Train teams in safety rules and procedures
  • Pass on any security-related information to his/her line manager 


  • Consolidate logistics packs monthly and pass on to the logistics coordinator
  • Provide the logistics coordinator with all information needed to draft intermediary and final reports
  • Pass on purchasing reports for closed programs to the coordinators at the established frequency

Technical competences

  • Skills in logistics
  • 2 years of professional experience in INGO / in similar position
  • Good level of English mandatory (oral and written)
  • Strong computer skills compulsory (Excel, Word)
