Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements business strategies to achieve business plans, tracks, measures and reports process.
  • Builds the Insurance brand by collaborating with customers, government, insurance associations, and community and employee organizations by providing reasonable and equitable business practices.
  • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Develops and reviews service contracts for effectiveness, adhering to the general rules and guidelines of prudence and risk management
  • Develops the end-to-end operational process for general insurance to establish quality standards and service excellence for the business
  • Develops leaders to lead, coach and train sales and marketing personnel to achieve business strategies and business goals.
  • Reviews claims and loss experience, takes corrective and preventive actions to improve profits and business production.
  • Execute the Business Plan approved by the Board and propose amendments to such Plan.
  • Build and maintain a high performance culture through effective performance management, motivation and coaching of staff.
  • Supporting the development of a healthy internal culture that retains key employees and encourages their professional development.
  • Obtain and oversee company insurance or related funds that management uses to cover costs such as disability benefits or lawsuits.
  • Ensures all business processes are in compliance to regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Soft Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Graduate with Business, Insurance or Actuarial degree and 
  • 10+ years of progressively relevant experience in a large corporation.
  • For Insurance business, preference will be given to the candidates worked in renowned International Insurance Company.
  • Must have experience in General Insurance Business and Life Insurance also.
  • Candidates with Myanmar local Experience is a plus.
  • Fluency in English must (verbal & written), other languages are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong leadership skills, flexible, assertive and result driven.
  • Business acumen, Strategic thinker with ability to make sound decisions for the business.
  • Excellent interpersonal and good public speaking skills.
  • Leader with a positive and dynamic personality, able to adapt to different cultures.
