Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the entire import process from the planning stage until the delivery of the goods to final destination
  • Communicating with the international suppliers monitoring and reporting on the performance of suppliers
  • Have knowledge of international trade terms and requirements
  • Develop logistical plans for current operations and logistics contingency plans
  • Coordinate and present logistics support to ongoing land, air, sea operations
  • Handling technical details relating to international and transportation such as customs regulations and any necessary documentation
  • Ensure and managing documents of import and export, scheduling and shipments
  • Troubleshooting any issues that may arise in international freight transportation
  • Contact and keep track of international and domestic suppliers and clients
  • Understand component lead time and evaluate associated of logistics risks
  • Implement cost saving strategies
  • Drive complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve internal and external processes
  • Coordinate with inter related department

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of work experience in related field (experiences in freight forwarding is highly desirable)
  • Ability to work under pressure and efficiently with tight deadlines
  • Possess written and oral communication skill in English (intermediate level or above), analytical skills, problem solving skills and customer focus
  • Strong time management skill and leadership skill
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and quick to learn new ideas, concepts and processes
