DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management

  • Formulating washing formula for stained loads. 
  • Ensuring the washing of linen and uniform as per standard.
  • Co-ordinating with the Engineering Department about their routine maintenance of the equipment.
  • Develop new methods for increasing laundry efficiency.
  • Overall controlling and supervision of the Department.   
  • Training and coordination with supporting Departments.
  • Record and monitor laundry cost.
  • Make reports and recommendations when required.
  • Oversee the laundry equipment preventive maintenance program.
  • Direct all Laundry staff.
  • Approve the Laundry staff duty roster.
  • Organizing training for the staff.
  • Train laundry staff and interns in accordance with the operational standards, SOPs and P&Ps.
  • Must be familiar with computers and hotel applications.
  • Provide other duties and services as assigned by the Laundry Manager.
  • Conduct weekly departmental meetings with supervisors.

Accountability

  • Control all expenditures relating to Laundry, including labour, chemicals supplies, and all equipments.
  • Provides support to the Laundry Manager in all areas of Laundry operation, such as staff training , coaching, counselling and also enforces to the hotels hotels standard operating procedures.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with other departments on different operations.
  • Manage and oversee events, occupancy on the day and on the next day.
  • Attend to any guest complaints and take service recovery measures if required.
  • Handle and manage preventive maintenance scheduling for laundry room and machines.
  • Conduct risk assessments on chemicals, machines and work practices for work-safety and health of staffs.

Training

- Execute training programmes necessarily especially to hot issues for the team.

- Execute training program for interns, receive feedback after training period if accomplished.

- Monitor and review training program for both internal staff and interns then based on them, execute better training methods or program necessarily.

- Conduct training minimum two hours per month.
